| | | A7 announced | | January 29, 2007 | A7, the successor to the A6 engine, will be released in 2007. A7 uses a new rendering kernel that is based on an Adaptive Binary Tree (ABT). Outdoor levels with a lot of entities render remarkably faster with A7. The ABT offers also other advantages, like an unlimited number of dynamic lights, and unrestricted geometry import in WED. Both WED and MED will support the FBX format for import and export. A7 supports the new lite-C scripting language, but is still able to run A6 projects.
While the A7 release date is not yet determined, a free A7 upgrade is included in any currently delivered A6 Extra, Commercial, Pro, or Team Edition. | | | Lite-C available | | January 25, 2007 | Lite-C is a new lightweight language for creating multimedia or graphics applications, especially 2D and 3D computer games. Due to its native support of multimedia objects like sounds, images, movies, GUI panels, game levels, 2D and 3D models you can achieve results with a few lines in lite-C that would require hundreds of source code lines with other C/C++ compilers. And the best: lite-C is free! Download it from the lite-C page. | | | 6-digit User Base | | July 10, 2006 | The 100,000th Gamestudio license since the first release of Gamestudio/A3 in 1995 was sold last month. | | | ARM&EVA Linux Development System | | March 25, 2006 | ARM&EVA is the easiest way to build your own embedded Linux application - like a web server that allows controlling machinery via Internet - at an unbeatable low price! It consists of a matchbox-sized ARM9 based MCU module with sufficient computing power for any application, and the EVA development board that gives you a ready-to-run system. | | | Conitec gets bigger and better! | | January 2, 2006 | Well, at least our San Diego office.
